Ilan Schonewald brought 'Aiden' with him when he emigrated from Israel to England after marrying his English wife, Anne. 'Aiden' had received two of the three tickets needed to become an Israeli champion before arriving on the British shores, but, of course, quarantine prohibited his return to that county to finish the championship he deserves.

The Schonewalds had a family...1--2--3--4...one after the other, so 'Aiden's' show career came to a grinding halt. However, he had been an influential sire in Israel, where he was born, and proved to be so here in Britain as well. In 1999 'Aiden' was awarded the Pedigree Chum/Dog World Top Canaan Stud Dog award--the first Canaan Dog to qualify for it--and repeated the win in 2001! (Thanks in large part to his son's, "Digger", wins in the breed ring.)
